WHY “SONSHINE”?

The name SONshine FM is intentional.

While the word evokes the warmth and light associated with sunshine, the station uses “SON” to point to Jesus Christ, whom it describes as the true source of life and hope.

Its website references John 8:12, where Jesus describes Himself as the light of the world.

For SONshine FM, the name represents its desire to reflect the light of Christ into homes, workplaces, schools and communities.

A COMMUNITY THAT GETS INVOLVED

SONshine FM encourages listeners to do more than simply tune in.

Listeners can participate by sharing testimonies and praise reports, submitting prayer requests, recommending songs, sending greetings, participating in programmes and competitions, sharing community events and contributing stories and voice notes.
